Blue Plaque Unveiled
The Blue Plaque scheduled to be unveiled last year was finally unveiled on Saturday 21st August 2010 at 38 Princess Street, Llanelli, where Gareth lived as a child. The house in which he was born, at Halfway, Llanelli, was demolished many years ago. The family moved to 38 Princess Street at some time between 1897 and 1901. In 1911 the family lived at no. 32 Princess Street from where Gareth left home for London. When I asked Mr Guy why he had chosen No. 38 and not No. 32 he said he didn't know Gareth had lived there. In 1913, while Gareth was working around the UK, the family lived at Capel Road, Halfway. For Press purposes the plaque was unveiled once by Kelvin Guy, whose great grandmother was Gareth's cousin and by three other relatives.
