Official Biographer. On several occasions I have been asked to explain what right I have to refer to myself as the "Official Biographer" of Gareth Hughes. The answer is quite simple. From 1989, when I first met her, until her death in 2006, Gareth's nearest of kin, his niece Nansi, personally sanctioned my work on her uncle's life. She would discuss his life with no other person unless with my consent. On her death, she left to me all her documents, materials and posessions pertaining to Gareth Hughes. Also, three separate cousins sanction my work. I think that is sufficient justification. When my work is finished I have made arrangements for all my materials to be deposited at the National Library of Wales.
